This song is written and sung by artist Steve Holy, and titled “Good Morning Beautiful”. This song is a cute song that goes along with being in love. It’s about waking up with that person you love and looking at them and smiling and calling them beautiful, when you know someone looks their worst when they just wake up. These lyrics look through the makeup and see someone at their worst and thinks they are beautiful, which what love is really about. The lyrics to Good Morning Beautiful by Steve Holy are;
"Good morning beautiful
How was your nightMine was wonderful
With you by my sideAnd when I open my eyes
And see your sweet face
It's a good morning beautiful day
I didn't see the light
I didn't know day from night
I had no reason to care
But since you came along
I can face the dawn
Cause I know you'll be there
Good morning beautiful
How was your night
Mine was wonderful
With you by my side
And when I open my eyes
And see your sweet face
It's a good morning beautiful day
I'll never worryIf it's raining outside
Cause in here with you girl
The sun always shinesGood morning beautiful
How was your nightMine was wonderful
With you by my side
And when I open my eyes
And see your sweet face
It's a good morning beautiful day, yeah
A good morning beautiful...day"

Rebeeca Lynn Howard - Forgive
This song is called Forgive by Rebecca Lynn Howard, and just like the title suggests it’s all about forgiveness. It’s a situation between a male and a female, obviously something the male did to the woman that she is finding it so hard deep down to forgive her significant other. She thinks that it’s too soon for her to forgive him. I agree with her, she should wait and forgive on her own time if the male is at fault, this song is okay but the lyrics are better. Rebecca Lynn Howard has a gorgeous voice which makes the song all that better, the lyrics are;
"I always said that'd be it
That I wouldn't stick around
If it ever came to this
Here I am so confused
How am I supposed to leave
When I can't even move
In the time that it would've took to say"Honey I'm home, how was your day"
You dropped a bomb right where we live
And just expected me to forgive
Well that's a mighty big word
For such a small man
And I'm not sure I can'Cause I don't even know now who I amIt's too soon for me to say forgiveI should ask but I won'tWas it love or just her touch'Cause I don't think I want to knowSo get you some things and get outDon't call me for a day or twoSo I can sort this outWell you might as well've ripped the lifeRight out of me, right here tonightWhen through the fallen tears you saidCan you ever just forgiveWell that's a mighty big wordFor such a small manAnd I'm not sure I can'Cause I don't even know now who I amIt's too soon for me to say forgiveWell you know what they sayForgive and forget,Relive and regretForgive, well that's a mighty big wordFor such a small manAnd I'm not sure I can'Cause I don't even know now who I amIt's too soon for me to say forgiveIt's too soon for me to say Forgive

Buddy Jewel - Help Pour out the Rain
This song is by Buddy Jewel titled Help Pour out the Rain. This song is about a little girl who keeps asking her daddy questions while in the car, she started playing twenty questions as he would call it. She was asking about what happens when you get to heaven and what heaven is like. This song is really cute because it catches tear in Buddy Jewels eye as he sings. In the lyrics he even has to pull the car over because he gets emotional. This song talks about the little things that a child would say that touches your heart in a way, the lyrics are:
The moment was custom-made to order:
I was ridin' with my daughter on our way back from
Monroe. An' like children do, she started playin' twenty
questions,But I never would've guessed one would
touch me to my soul.
She said: "Daddy, when we get to
Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?"
Are we goin' there to visit, or are we goin' there to stay?"
Am I gonna see my Grandpa? Can I have a pair of wings?"
An' do you think that God could use another Angel,
"To help pour out the rain?"
Well, I won't lie: I pulled that car right over,
An' I sat there on the shoulder tryin' to dry my misty eyes.
An' I whispered: "Lord, I wanna thank you for my children."
'Cause your innocence that fills them often takes me by surprise.
"Like: "Daddy, when we get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?
"Are we goin' there to visit, or are we goin' there to stay?"
Am I gonna see my Grandpa?
Can I have a pair of wings?"An' do you think that
God could use another Angel,"To help pour out the rain?"
Well, I thought about it later on,An' a smile came to my
face. An' when I tucked her in to bed,I got down on my
knees an' prayed.Lord, when I get to Heaven, can
I taste the Milky Way?"I don't wanna come to visit
'cause I'm comin' home to stay."
An' I can't wait to see my family and meet Jesus
face to face."An' do you think, Lord, you could
use another Angel,"To help pour out the rain?"
Mmmm, can I help pour out the rain?"

Vince Gill - Go Rest High
This song by Vince Gill is rather sad, and it’s titled Go Rest High. I have been to a few funerals and this is the choice of song that is played. This song is about death and where someone goes after they are dead. How that persons work on earth is done and heaven is shouting out for you, so the only thing left for you to do is go rest high on that mountain. Everyone on earth is hurt and missing them, yet heaven is reaching out for him and it’s his time to go. If you’re not in the mood to cry don’t listen to this song, but read the lyrics to Go Rest High by Vince Gill;
Go Rest High – Vince Gill
"I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, you work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son
Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve
I wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, you work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son"

Jeff Bates - One Second Chance
This song by Jeff Bates is called One Second Chance; this song is all about wanting to give someone a second chance, not in a relationship but in the work world. This individual spent some time in jail and his resume has a few years missing and every interview he enters they ask about the past years he was in jail. His ex wife also wouldn’t give him a second chance when it came to their son, it’s sad when you listen to it because you wonder why nobody will give him a second chance yet what did he do to get himself in this situation. The lyrics are:
"It says here you're from Houston: You're certified to drive a truck.
"It doesn't say what you been doin' the last five years."
Then I watched his eyes keep readin',
then I watched his eyes look up,
An' watched another job I needed disappear.
'Cause when they get to the line:
"Have you been convicted of a crime?"
They say: "Thanks for comin' in," an' they don't call you back.
I ain't askin' for every job under the sun:
I just want one second chance.
On August twenty-second, well, little Jacob's turnin' five,
But his Momma moved him half-a-state away.
I left another message on her phone at home last night,
An' she fin'lly had her lawyer call today.
She knows I can't afford to take this thing to court,
And I'm tryin' hard to make her understand:
I ain't askin' for every weekend of every month,
I just want one second chance.
I was young an' I was stupid: I regret it every day.
I ain't sayin' I didn't do it but I 've paid for my mistakes.
It's a lost and empty feelin' when they don't want you around,
Yeah, I finally got my freedom but what good is it now?
There's some days when it feels like it's been a hundred years;
Sometimes it feels like only yesterday.
We were paintin' Jacob's nursery, countin' days till he was here.
Next thing I knew, I'd thrown it all away.
Now I know I can't go back to the life I used to have,
When I still held the whole world in my hands:
I had a job, I had a wife, I had a son,
Now I just want one second chance.”

Heartland - I Loved Her First
Last summer I attended a few weddings and this was their song of choice for the father – daughter dance at the reception, I Loved Her First by Heartland. This song came out a few years back and as soon as it did, you knew it would be one of those songs that make it to weddings all over the place. This song is about the relationship between a father and a daughter, and how the father is having a hard time giving his daughter up at a wedding because he loved her first. This song is about a father and daughter yet directed towards his daughter’s future husband. The lyrics for Heartland’s I Loved Her First are;
''Look at the two of you dancing that way
Lost in the moment and each others face
So much in love your alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world
I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one
She told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl
Time changes everything
Life must go on
And I'm not gonna stand in your way
But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it still hard to give her away
I loved her first
How could that beautiful women with you
Be the same freckle face kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairy tales to
And tucked into bed all those nights
And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time
But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But its still hard to give her away
I loved her firstFrom the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm going through
When a miracle smiles up at youI loved her first"

Ashley Gearing - Can You Hear Me When I Talk to You
Ashley Gearing was a young girl when she wrote this song, and after reading the lyrics I think it’s about her father passing away, and what she does to communicate with him in heaven. This song is titled Can You Hear Me When I Talk to You. This song is about a little girl talking to her dad in heaven, when you listen to the song though you don’t know she is talking about her father until the end. She tries to talk to him, yet doesn’t know if they words are getting through to him and she isn’t sure if he hears her or not. This song is slow paced and a really cute song. The Lyrics to Ashley Gearing’s Can You Hear Me When I Talk To You:
Can You Hear Me When I Talk to You – Ashley Gearing
"Time passes by so quickly
But I guess I thought you'd be here forever
I never even had a chance
To say goodbye
There's so many things to tell you
Left unsaid until now
Can you hear me when I talk to you?
Do the words I say ever make it through?
Can you hear me when I talk to you?
'Cause I'd give anything if I knew
Every night I have the same dream
The one where you get to hold me
We laugh and talk until the morning
And then you vanish,yeah
It always leaves me feeling helpless
When I wake up and you're not there
Can you hear me when I talk to you?
Do you know how much I'd love to be with you?
Can you hear me when I talk to you?
'Cause I'd give anything if I just knew
Living in this world without you
I constantly search through my memories
Hoping that I find some treasures
That I passed over,yeah
All that I took for granted
Means so much now and I won't let it go
Can you hear me when I talk to you?
'Cause I never said some things that I meant to
Can you hear me when I talk to you?
'Cause I'd give anything if I just knew
You know I never said some things that I meant to
Can you hear me when I talk to you?
'Cause I'd give anything if I just knew
I miss you Daddy"
